Principal Solutions Architect at Elastic | Observability, OpenTelemetry, and ML-driven anomaly detection
Peter is a Principal Solutions Architect at Elastic focused on enterprise observability, security, and AI search. Making sense of signals, from observability pipelines to the pulse of the plot, is the throughline of his work.
He is a results-driven technologist who specializes in making complex systems observable, efficient, and cost-effective. Whether scaling Elastic, taming OpenTelemetry, or fine-tuning anomaly detection with ML, he turns noisy telemetry into meaningful results.
Lately he has been solving gnarly ingestion issues, optimizing log pipelines, and leading architecture decisions that reduce overhead while increasing visibility. He works across Serverless, Elastic Cloud Hosted, observability, security, and data platforms, helping customers design and prove solutions that scale.
His background spans Elastic, Splunk, Chronosphere, and New Relic, with deep experience in observability architecture, Kubernetes-native monitoring, pipeline tuning, and evaluations across Splunk, Datadog, New Relic, Grafana, and Elastic.
When he is not troubleshooting data flow or fine-tuning dashboards, he moonlights as a fiction writer. He is based in Poulsbo, Washington.
